Chapter 15 – Equilibrium of Other Reaction Classes
In the previous chapters, you studied equilibrium and saw many equilibrium related reactions. When the rate of forward reaction is equal to the rate of backward reaction, we say the system has reached equilibrium. Each equilibrium has its own unique equilibrium constant value at a specific temperature, that can be calculated based on the concentration of reactants and products present at equilibrium.
This chapter will mainly focus on the equilibrium related to precipitation reaction and complex ion formation. We will also discuss how the equilibrium constant’s value can be used to find the solubility of a compound in solution.
